Having no destination for a shoot, we went to the closest spot on the map, and it turned out to be great spot for a shoot, and a good spot for a picnic and a paddle in the water. There are two cafes located at the Cowan Creek Catchment, so I might have to come back and try some food here as well.
Sunday, 7th June 2015: The Boat, The Beach and The ‘Model’.
The day started off me not getting out of the house in time, as no one would tell me what time we were meeting, I think my ‘friends’ were trying to ditch me. I was finally told to get a move along, as they were meeting at 11:00. I told them I would be getting there at 11:19, which was okay with them.
Friday, 5th June 2015: The Water in the Rockpool.
The beginning of the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, the plan was to have dinner with a friend, and then take a few portraits within the vicinity of some Vivid Sydney Festival display, but then the itinerary got appended to have some dessert at Aqua S, to try their Black Sesame flavour that everyone was raving about. Plans do tend to change.
Saturday, 30th May 2015: Hartsyard: Seed and Feed.
After another full day of shooting with Izzy, it was off to Hartsyard for some Seed and Feed. We sat down and ordered two dishes. We started eating at around 9pm, which was very late, so I was slightly hungry.

6th April 2015: Wonderful Noodle Bar & Restaurant 老街坊
I had driven past this restaurant a few times, since it opened. What a wonderful name for a restaurant. When a restaurant puts wonderful adjectives in their name, you would start thinking will it live up to it’s name? My sister had already tried this place before, and chose this restaurant for an Easter Monday lunch.
26th March 2015: Sokyo at The Star – Omakase.
Friday night and off to Sokyo we go. I have been to Sokyo before, the last time it was for a quick meal at the drinks bar. This time we went all out for the Omakase, お任せ(jap.), translated to ‘I’ll leave it to you’. We were lead to bar and introduced to Chef Sano, who would be preparing whatever he feels like. Now, I’ve heard of stories of how many dishes come out, so I was prepared. Also I was accompanied by a friend, who has sat down for the Omakase menu on more than one occasion. Chef Sano knows that person by name and appeitite.
